Big Zeb set for Kerrygold Champion Chase bid

Cheltenham Pro Staff - 31 Mar 2010

Big Zeb, the sensational winner of this year’s Seasons Holidays Queen Mother Champion Chase, is all set for a trip to Punchestown at the end of the month.

Trainer Colm Murphy is thrilled with the condition of his Grade One-winning hero and will now point him in the direction of the Kerrygold Champion Chase, a race in which he was beaten by a short-head by Master Minded last year.

"Thankfully he came out of his last race really well and I'm delighted with him. Punchestown is the plan, luckily there's plenty of time between Cheltenham and Punchestown and we'll freshen him up and go there with him," the trainer explained.

"We're lucky, he doesn't take much getting ready and we're able to keep him pretty fresh so Punchestown is the next plan."
