Nicky Henderson was the star with four winners as the bookies and the punters played out a high-scoring draw on Day Two of the Cheltenham Festival.
Stan James spokesman Rory Jiwani told Cheltenhampro: "Things were looking good for the punters after Teaforthree and Simonsig justified favouritism with the latter a very bad result for us. Barry Geraghty had an armchair ride on the six-year-old who looks a top chaser in the making and is 8/1 for next year's Arkle and 12/1 for the StanJames Champion Hurdle.
"But Henderson and Geraghty did us a big favour as Bobs Worth won the RSA Chase with Grands Cru finishing out of the frame. Bobs Worth is 6/1 for the 2013 Gold Cup with runner-up First Lieutenant a 10/1 shot.
"And when Finians Rainbow pipped hotpot Sizing Europe in the Champion Chase, the bookies were marginally on top although we had seen a fair bit of each-way interest in the winner and third-placed Big Zeb. The front two are both 5/1 for next year's race with yesterday's Arkle winner Sprinter Sacre the 7/4 favourite.
"Son Of Flicka landed a big gamble in the Coral Cup for Donald McCain to put the punters back in front but Henderson's fourth winner of the day - Une Artiste in the Fred Winter Juvenile Hurdle - and bumper winner Champagne Fever ensured the day ended all square.
"Tomorrow is all about Big Buck's as he goes for a record fourth World Hurdle which would make it 16 consecutive wins over hurdles. His main threat is Oscar Whisky for the hot Henderson yard, but Big Buck's is 8/15 to win again with Oscar Whisky 4/1 and Thousand Stars 8/1.
"In the Ryanair Chase, Henderson has the favourite in Riverside Theatre at 5/1 with Noble Price set to challenge him at the head of the market. This looks an open heat with seven runners trading in single figures.
"Thursday begins with the Jewson Novices' Chase with Peddlers Cross looking to justify connections sidestepping a clash with Sprinter Sacre in the Arkle. Willie Mullins' Sir Des Champs and Paul Nicholls' Cristal Bonus should give him plenty to think about.
"David Pipe will be hoping to break his duck at this year's Festival in the Pertemps Final with well-backed favourite Our Father and Buena Vista who is seeking a third consecutive win in the race. But the big money has been for Sergent Guib's for Willie Mullins who is 9/1 from 20/1 and we're paying out each-way on five places.
"Pipe also has high hopes in the Byrne Group Plate with Salut Flo the 4/1 favourite. Previous Festival winner Divers is 7/1 from 8/1 for Ferdy Murphy but Niceonefrankie is the best backed horse in the race. The promising novice was 20/1 this morning but is now 15/2 for the in-form Venetia Williams.
"The day closes with the Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Handicap Chase with Sunnyhillboy shading favouritism from Irish raider Up The Beat."
