Noel Meade’s Pandorama will not run again this season after the Lexus Chase hero returned home sore after his exploits in the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

The superstar wasn’t suited by the quickening ground at Prestbury Park and though he managed to finish seventh behind Long Run in the race, Meade believes that the conditions were never going to suit the talented chaser.

"He's sore enough at the minute and it will be a week or two before we know exactly how he's come out of the race," Meade explained.

"He's definitely finished for the season and we'll just have to monitor him for the next fortnight and see.  He ran a good race considering the ground was too quick for him."

Meanwhile, Realt Dubh has come out of last week’s Arkle in fine form and is likely to be back in action before the end of the season.

"He ran a very good race and we have no excuses, he was just beaten by better horses.  I'd say he'll go again somewhere. He'll either go to Punchestown for the two-mile novice or to Fairyhouse for the Powers Gold Cup over two and a half miles.  A lot will depend on the ground,” Meade explained.
