The 2012 Cheltenham Festival is just eight weeks away and racing fanatics are beginning to book their tickets for ‘The Greatest Show on Turf’ – 2012 Cheltenham Gold Cup day.

Many can't wait action to get underway and with the meeting rapidly approaching tickets for the event are beginning to sell fast.

The Cheltenham Festival is one of sport’s most enthralling extravaganzas and in 2012 the nation will once again be swept by horse racing fever as gamblers and racing fanatics prepare to embark on an unrivalled path of excitement.

Over the course of the week Cheltenham can expect to welcome over 200,000 racegoers from all over the world, with it believed that more than £500 million will be gambled over four days of pulsating action. For many Gold Cup Friday is the jewel in the meeting’s crown and the greatest horses in the world will be heading to the Festival to battle it out in the world famous race.

Legendary chaser Kauto Star and reigning champion Long Run will continue their enthralling rivalry in the contest with a whole host of the sport’s leading names joining them for a fantastic day’s racing on the Cotswolds.
