Sponsors Stan James have, from 8am New Years Day, been offering 1/4 odds 4 places on the Stan James Champion Hurdle until noon on Saturday 22nd January the date of the StanJames.com Champion Hurdle Trial at Haydock Park.
Head of PR Charlie McCann explained to Cheltenhampro: "After our pre Xmas offer of money back as a free bet if Binocular retains his title we have now decided to offer an additional place on the race until the Haydock Park Trial in which Peddlers Cross is due to put his unbeaten record on the line.
"We have seen significant money this morning for Dunguib and cut the Irish challenger from 20s to 16/1 for the Festival. We make this week's Leopardstown winner Hurricane Fly 2/1 favourite to be market leader for the Champion Hurdle although the money this week has been for Binocular who is 9/4 from 5/2 to go off favourite."
