The nation’s leading bookies are reporting plenty of market movers on Tuesday morning as punters all around the world wake up looking to get their bets on ahead of the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival.

The most remarkable market mover is undoubtedly long time Supreme Novices’ Hurdle favourite Cue Card who is available at a whopping 3/1 with William Hill after heading the ante post betting for the race all season.

Punters will be aware that his walk in the market is probably more to do with William Hill looking to get the horse turned over in the opener and his new price is more likely to encourage than deter those who believe he is the banker of the meeting.

As expected, Pricewise has also sent the bookies ducking for cover and Paul Nicholls’ highly regarded Definity is now into 6/1 with Paddy Power, with William Hill going a best price 8/1 on the eight-year-old winning the final race of the day.

Meanwhile, the Champion Hurdle market remains relatively unstable and Paddy Power currently have three joint favourites in the feature with the Irish firm happy to lay Peddlers Cross, Menorah and Hurricane Fly all at 4/1.

Who will go off favourite for the race is anybody’s guess and David Williams of Ladbrokes admitted: "It is impossible to say with any certainty which of the front two will go off favourite. Much will depend on the confidence of the Irish and whether they're prepared to pile into Hurricane Fly."
