Henry de Bromhead is in upbeat mood as he prepares to saddle Sizing Europe in the Irish Independent Arkle Trophy at the Cheltenham Festival.
The race is now less than two months away and after saddling An Cathaoir Mor to success in the Irish equivalent on Sunday, the trainer is now eyeing glory at jumping HQ in March.
Connections of Sizing Europe (a general 5/1 shot for Arkle glory) opted to swerve Sunday’s big race and An Cathaoir Mor was produced to beat Sports Line at Leopardstown for de Bromhead.
"I feel very lucky to have them both in my yard, they are two very good horses," said the in-form trainer.
"Sizing Europe is in super form. We've freshened him up since Christmas and he is looking really well in himself as a result.
"With the way he looks at the moment, I can't wait for Cheltenham and everything is all set for it now.
"An Cathaoir Mor will have an entry in the Arkle but he absolutely loves bottomless ground and it is very rare that it comes up like that there in March."
