2009 Champion Bumper hero Dunguib is pleasing connections ahead of his tilt at the Stan James Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival on Tuesday.
Philip Fenton’s superstar was in fine form when finishing his final piece of strong work before his trip to Prestbury Park and connections of the horse will be hoping that he can have more success at the Festival following his disappointing third in the Stan James Supreme Novices' Hurdle last season.
Dunguib was sent off 4/5 for that race but there is far less pressure this time around and Fenton continued: "Dunguib is in good form. He did his last bit of strong work this morning and we are very happy with him.
"I am sure that he is improved since winning at Gowran Park but I am also well aware that he needs to if he is going to run well at Cheltenham.
"There is obviously less talk and hype about the horse compared to last year, but things are running smoothly and we are very happy with him at the moment."
