Philip Hobbs is delighted with Menorah ahead of Tuesday’s Stan James Champion Hurdle.
The trainer has been impressed with the superstar this season and he will be hoping that the 2010 Supreme Novices’ Hurdle winner can add another Festival success to his impressive CV.
Last seen beating Cue Card in the International Hurdle, Menorah is considered by many to have a leading chance in next week’s showpiece and he remains at the forefront of the market.
Hobbs has been delighted with the progress of the six-year-old but he is wary of the fact it looks a vintage renewal of the opening day feature.
"He's in very good nick - we're very happy with him," the trainer explained.
"His preparations have all gone very well. If it was an ordinary Champion Hurdle you could be even more confident about him but obviously this year's renewal looks very, very good."
Menorah will have to beat the likes of Binocular, Hurricane Fly and Peddlers Cross if he is going to win the race and confirm his trainer’s belief that he is his best horse since Rooster Booster.
