Willie Mullins has admitted he is thrilled with Hurricane Fly as the superstar prepares to defend his Champion Hurdle crown at next month’s Cheltenham Festival.

The French import made his return to action when he cruised to a facile success in the BHP Insurance Irish Champion at Leopardstown last month and Mullins is delighted with the French import.

With the Irish raider set to be sent off a very short price for the Grade One highlight, he will certainly be the one to beat and Mullins confirmed:  "Hurricane Fly is fantastically well at the moment. Paul (Townend) rides him out every day at home and he said he's jumping out of his skin.

"He had a nice easy week last week and he'll have another easy one this week before we start building him up for Cheltenham. I've been very happy with him.”
