Trainer Charlie Mann has spoken out very highly about Gauvain's chances in the Arkle Chase.
Mann who saddled Moon Over Miami in the race last year, said of his 33/1 chance:
'I can see him running a big race. He won the Kingmaker last time and he would have won his last three races but for falling in a mickey mouse race race at Fontwell. He won't mind the ground and he stays two and a half miles, which is what you want in the Arkle.'
It will be interesting to see whether Mann's views resonate into the betting market. Gauvain is available at 33/1 with Coral, Hills and Ladbrokes.
