Hurricane Fly is in great condition ahead of the Champion Hurdle according to trainer Willie Mullins
The money continues to come for Hurricane Fly 48 hours ahead of his Champion Hurdle defence and it would now be a major surprise if the eight-year-old fails to win Tuesday’s showcase race.
On Sunday morning, the declaration stage closed for the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival and trainer Willie Mullins reported that the Fly was ‘all set’ for the Champion Hurdle.
He told the Racing Post: "He's a very special horse - we've known that since the beginning and his record of ten Grade 1 wins speaks for itself. All has gone really well with him since his win in the Irish Champion Hurdle."
"His work and his schooling has been very good and we're all looking forward to seeing him attempt to defend his crown. The ground is going to be safe and he is all set."
Paddy Power continue to lay the best price of 10/11 about Hurricane Fly winning the Champion Hurdle although other firms go as short as 4/6 about the champion retaining his crown.
