Peddlers Cross and Overturn will both take in prep runs as they warm up for this year’s Champion Hurdle over the next few weeks.
Peddlers Cross looks set to take in the Victor Chandler Morebattle Hurdle at Kelso on February 17 as trainer Donald McCain continues his bid to get a run into the 2010 Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle winner.
The unbeaten superstar has not been seen since he defeated Binocular and Starluck in the Fighting Fifth Hurdle.
Meanwhile, Overturn looks likely to head for the Kingwell Hurdle at Wincanton on February 19th as he too looks to complete his Champion Hurdle preparations.
"He galloped this morning, Jason (Maguire) was on Overturn and Adrian (Lane) was on Peddlers and the horse is well so hopefully we can run him next week somewhere," McCain explained.
"He came off the gallop, gave a cough so we scoped him and it was mucky, I couldn't have run him. Touch wood it is out of the way.
"In an ideal world I would say Peddlers goes to Kelso and Overturn goes for the Kingwell, but that's ground permitting," he continued.
