The Noel Meade trained Go Native, who won last year’s williamhill.com Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, is one of Ireland’s leading chances for this year’s Smurfit Kappa Champion Hurdle.
Go Native, 6-1 joint third favourite for the Champion Hurdle, has also qualified for a possible bumper £1 million payout – having already won the first two legs of the WBX Triple Crown – the Fighting Fifth and the williamhill.com Christmas Hurdle.
Solwhit and Zaynar remain the 5-1 joint favourites for the Champion Hurdle, while Go Native joins Binocular as the 6-1 joint third favourites for the two mile contest.
Irish trained horses have an excellent record in the Champion Hurdle - and Hills are offering odds of 7-4 that the winner of this year's race is trained in Ireland.
