Leading Irish trainer Colm Murphy was delighted with Big Zeb after the Champion Chaser schooled at Leopardstown on Monday morning.

The superstar remains on course for a defence of his Champion Chase crown at next month’s Cheltenham Festival after the raider worked with Barry Geraghty.

It will be Big Zeb’s final piece of work before he bids to retain the two-mile title on March 16th and Murphy is looking forward to getting his horse to Prestbury Park.

"Big Zeb popped a line of fences. He was very good and we're very happy with him. He worked with another horse that gave him a lead," Muprhy explained.

"We'll just keep him ticking over now until Cheltenham."

Meanwhile, Quito De La Roque remains on course for the meeting despite swerving the trip to Leopardstown and Murphy is keeping his options open:  "We didn't work him, but he's A1.  It depends on the ground. As long as it isn't fast, he'll go. We'll decide which race nearer the time."
