Master Minded will be given a workout on Wednesday afternoon as connections mull the prospect of running the multiple Grade One-winner in the Amlin 1965 Chase at Ascot on Saturday.
Paul Nicholls’ seven-year-old could return to action in the two-mile-three furlong showpiece and he remains one of eleven entries in the Grade Two.
It would be the first time Master Minded has been seen since he finished fourth behind Big Zeb in last year’s Queen Mother Champion Chase and owner Clive Smith explained: "I think Paul is giving him a bit of fast work on Wednesday. If that's OK we'll be going to Ascot.”
Among his rivals could be Jonjo O’Neill’s Albertas Run and Philip Hobbs’ Planet Of Sound, while the likes of Tom George’s Tartal and David Pipe’s I’msingingtheblues could also line up against Master Minded.
