Legendary trainer Paul Nicholls has admitted he will try and convince owner Paul Barber to run Aiteen Thirtythree in the RSA Chase at Cheltenham next month.
The trainer was left impressed by his talented chaser as he cruised to another impressive success this weekend and Nicholls and Barber will have fond memories of Denman’s awesome display in the RSA Chase in 2007.
The seven-year-old is in the betting for the March 16th showpiece and there will be plenty of supporters looking to back the horse after his Newbury romp, but Nicholls explained: "Paul (Barber) likes him a lot and he jumped great on Friday.
"I don't think running in the RSA did Denman any harm, but it's something I'm going to have to have a chat about with him.
"I won't go against Paul's wishes and we'll do what's right for the horse. We'll have to see."
With the likes of Kauto Star, Denman, Big Buck’s and Master Minded all heading to the 2011 Cheltenham Festival, it isn’t hard to see why the bookies have made the handler odds-on to be top trainer at this year’s meeting.
