Cheltenham Gold Cup 2011 - Denman drifts

Denman has drifted from 8/1 to 10/1 for the 2011 Cheltenham Gold Cup with totesport after finishing fourth in the Punchestown Guinness Gold Cup on Wednesday afternoon.

Planet Of Sound sprung a 14/1 surprise when winning the race and is now 16/1 to bag the top prize in the Cotswolds next year.

There were four in with a chance at the last as Philip Hobbs' Planet Of Sound led Cooldine (20/1 to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup), War Of Attrition and the wayward Denman.

Richard Johnson kept Planet of Sound up to his work though and despite racing over the trip for the first time, he held on gamely from 20/1 chance War Of Attrition, who was having his final race before retirement.
