Nick Williams has revealed that Diamond Harry has been ruled out of the 2011 Cheltenham Gold Cup.

The Hennessy Gold Cup hero had been as short as 7/1 in the betting for the race and ante post punters will be alarmed to hear that he will miss the race after he was found to be lame on Friday.

It was believed that Diamond Harry could prove to be a realistic challenger to the legendary Gold Cup trio of Kauto Star, Denman and Imperial Commander but it now looks like Long Run, Pandorama and Kempes will be faced with the challenge of lowering the colours of the older brigade.

The Cheltenham Gold Cup is now less than two weeks away and the excitement ahead of the Festival is beginning to reach fever pitch.

Paddy Power are non-runner no bet on all the races at the 2011 Cheltenham Festival and have launched their annual Supreme Novices' Hurdle money-back special.

In 2010 the firm promised punters their stakes back if they backed another horse and Dunguib went on to win the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle. Luckily for them Menorah foiled the odds-on Irish superstar in the first race of the meeting.

This year the firm are running a similar offer but will take aim at Cue Card in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle.  The ante post favourite for the race has been impressive since his victory in the Champion Bumper at last year's Festival and he could well start a very short price for the first race at the meeting.
