Noel Meade has once again warned punters that recent Lexus Chase-winning superstar Pandorama will only take his chance in the totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup if the ground is softer than good.

The trainer admitted that he would love to take the chaser to Prestbury Park for the Festival’s Blue Riband event, but he once again reiterated that the Irish raider would not be risked on anything other than his ideal ground.

"I think what you call good to soft at Cheltenham, good to yielding ground might be alright," Meade explained.

"It would be the very least that I'd think about running him on - he wouldn't run on good ground.

"Obviously we'd love to run him in the Gold Cup but he'd have to be well enough and continue his progress."

When discussing more immediate targets, Meade identified the Irish Hennessy as the next port of call for his stable star and continued:  "He's in good shape.

"He came out of the race really well and he'll head straight for the Hennessy at Leopardstown again. We'll see what happens after that."
