Sang Bleu is unchanged at 25/1 with Sky Bet for the Triumph Hurdle following his workmanlike victory in the Chatteris Fen Juvenile Hurdle at Huntingdon on Thursday.
The winner needed the strongest of drives from Ruby Walsh to concede 8lbs to fellow French import Stars Du Granits, with the pair drawing clear of Nicky Nutjob from the second last flight.
Matt Doyle of Sky Bet said: ‘Paul Nicholls thinks a lot of the winner but his hurdling was far from perfect and we believe the Champion trainer has stronger juvenile contenders at home in Advisor and Royal Mix.’
Mille Chief, who is the 9/2 ante-post favourite for the Triumph Hurdle with Sky Bet, was a notable absentee from his intended festival warm up due to a bad scope and is now being aimed at Kempton’s Adonis Hurdle by Alan King.
