The Tony Mccoy factor seems to be taking effect ahead of the Supreme Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham tomorrow, as Nicky Henderson's Ainama has been supported to get the perennial champion jockey off to a flying start.
Ainama has been shortened across the board with Boylesports and Sportingbet leading the way in trimming his odds to 12/1. The best price still available is 31/2 with Betfair, something which will alert punters who follow Mccoy religiously.
The horse was a strong winner at Kempton in January before being touched off by Trenchant the following month at the same course. His albeit brief form points in the right direction, however it is the Mccoy magic which may prove vital in what is expected to be an explosive opening race.
