2013 Neptune Novices' Hurdle latest odds

The 'banker' bet of the day for the Irish lines up in the Neptune Novices' Hurdle, with the Willie Mullins-trained Pont Alexandre carrying the hopes of a nation.

The five-year-old has done wrong in winning both his starts in Ireland this season and there has already been a flood of money for him to land this Grade 1 prize, with any punters not already on advised to head to BetVictor for their top quote of 13/8.

He does a formidable challenge, though, from a quartet of runners in particular.

The New One (5/1 Stan James) has been been a revelation over hurdles this season, winning three of his four starts, including at the track in October, and he goes into the race as the shortest-priced British-trained runner.

Taquin Du Seuil (9/2 bet365) has been equally impressive over the smaller obstacles this season and his three success include the Grade 1 Challow Hurdle last time. His trainer Jonjo O'Neill is adept at getting horses to peak at the Festival, so he's sure to be popular with punters.

Mouse Morris is another trainer with an enviable Cheltenham Festival record and his Rule The World (13/2 Coral) is entitled to some maximum respect on what he's been showing in his native Ireland, with his record standing at 3-4 over hurdles.

Nicky Henderson runners are always to be feared in any Festival race and his Chatterbox (4/1 Coral) will have his supporters after his fluent Newbury success last time. He puts his unbeaten record on the line here.

The field is made up by impressive Haydock scorer Two Rockers (16/1 bet365), who is representing Alan King, Sizing Gold, Minsk and rank outsider Ubak.
