The Centenary Novices Handicap Chase (5:15pm), formerly known as the Jewson Novices Handicap Chase, is a Class A listed chase run over two miles, four and a half furlongs.

The race was renamed for the 2011 Festival after the introduction of the new Jewson Novices’ Chase to the Festival and is now restricted to novices rated 0-140. The total prize-pool for 2011 was £55,000.
