Run over two miles five furlongs, the Ryanair Chase is for five year olds and above whom, have more often than not, sidestepped the Gold Cup in search of a less competitive prize.

Won by Imperial Commander in 2009 and by Our Vic in 2008, the winner of the race is always a classy horse and it should be no different this year with the Paul Nicholls-trainer Poquelin heading the betting.
