1.30 Neptune Hurdle

Willie Mullins will be hoping Faugheen can add his name to a long list of notable Irish winners of the Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle by joining the roll of honour at the 2014 Cheltenham Festival.

The likes of Danoli, Istabraq, Hardy Eustace, Mikael D'Haguenet and First Lieutenant have all taken the trophy back to the Emerald Isle and Faugheen has been strongly supported to give Mullins a third success in the race.

Nigel Twiston-Davies has already reached that tally after striking with The New One last year, while Simonsig and Peddlers Cross were other recent scorers for England in an event which always attracts plenty of betting interest.

It is run on the Old Course over a distance of about 2m 5f and features 10 hurdles to be jumped, with punters looking to get day two of the Festival off to a flying start.
